The Winsor & Newton Artists’ Matt Varnish is a superior-quality, UV-resistant matt varnish designed to protect finished artworks while providing a smooth, non-reflective finish. It forms a durable protective layer that helps guard paintings against dirt, dust, and UV damage.

This varnish is quick drying, non-yellowing, and formulated to resist blooming and cracking over time. It is removable with Artists’ White Spirit or Distilled Turpentine, allowing for safe cleaning or restoration of artworks. For best results, apply only when the painting is completely dry (6–12 months). Shake well before use and do not use as a medium.
